I don’t know about people who live overseas but here in New Zealand, they have companies who deliver meals straight to your door. No, not fastfood outlets, and not chinese takeaways either. These companies, such as Hello Fresh, deliver almost all the ingredients you need, pre-portioned for 2 or 4 people as per the recipe, to you.
Before anything else … what the frink?!
I can’t believe I’ve been on WordPress for 10 years! Happy Anniversary to me – but to clarify – although I have been on WP for a decade, I have been blogging for more. I started blogging sometime in 2002 or 2003? I can’t remember, but I do remember that I used to blog on blogger. Spent a lot of time there, and then tried other platforms (i can’t remember which ones) until a friend recommended WordPress – and I’ve been here ever since!
Anyway – going back to Zucchinis …

I guess flowers win!
Now that we’re more settled here in our new home, I now have more time to do the things that bring me joy – not that cleaning the house and tidying up makes me burst into tears ok? I enjoy doing those too, but not as much as appreciating flowers and taking photos of those lovely creations of God. So this morning, after doing a load of washing, I got in my trusty little car and drove off towards Highland Intermediate School to visit the Taranaki Orchid Society’s Summer Orchid Show. I wanted to go to the Spring Show (held in September 2018) but I was busy making our house into a home that the show weekend just slipped by without me even noticing it.
In March, last year, I wrote about cross-stitching and mentioned that I offered to do a 6-week cross-stitching course at a local high school (for adult education). It obviously didn’t push through so my dream of sharing my passion and knowledge for cross stitch was put on hold. Recently, however, I thought – why on earth should that stop me. I have a blog, there’s youtube, I don’t need to “teach” in a classroom – I can do all these online! So yesterday, I prepared my “lesson plan” in my head, and today I prepared the materials for my 1st (online) Lesson on Cross Stitch!
Compilation of photos taken at the Marco Polo Plaza in Cebu City, Philippines, all taken in February 2015. Just going through my hard drive and I’m trying to organise my photos. As you can see, I’m still working on my 2015 photos – 3 more years of photos to go!

Happy New Year!
